Mistakes parents make in raising their child’s self esteem
Nobody wants to see their child miserable with low self esteem issues and be a loser. Every single parent on this planet wants to see their child grow up to be happy, confident, and able to achieve their goals in life. Being the good parent that we are, we, as much as we could, want to provide them with the skills they need to be able to cope up in life and BE SUCCESSFUL.
But children nowadays are often faced with a lot of difficult challenges growing up. More and more parents are having a hard time reaching out to their kids. Frustrations, rejections, and disappointments, if left unchecked, leads to low or no self esteem and no confidence which often results to the child
becoming stressed easily
becoming shy, distant and withdrawn
becoming disrespectful to you and to other people
having a hard time making friends
making poor choices
becoming moody and irresponsible
getting low grades
failing in life
Alarming statistics show that because of low self esteem:
more than 29% of students drink alcohol everyday
over 16% of students smoke cigarettes everyday
18 per 1000 teens become victims of violent crimes like rape, robery, homicide, and aggravated assault
15 per 1000 teens have commited such crimes
5% of ages 4-17 have severe emotional, social, concentration and behavior difficulties
With the kind of lifestyle we have right now, we are often faced with a lot of responsibilities of parenting, not to mention, the difficulty of becoming and staying involved with our children’s physical and emotional well-being, let alone wonder how our kids are coping in life. As busy as we are, we can help our kids:
overcome low self esteem, shyness and insecurities
gain self confidence and self worth
be free from fears and negative thoughts
achieve their goals in life through the power of ATTRACTION!
There are ways that we can influence and become part of our children’s well-being which they will appreciate and remember for a lifetime.
