SHOULD A STUTTERER MARRY?
It is said that marriages are made in heaven, but as per my opinion a stutterer should be practical and realistic before he takes the leap.
If the person is a minor stutterer he should go ahead with his marriage if he is professionally well off.
But if he has a severe problem he should refrain himself from marriage, no matter whether he does a good job or not.
Marriage brings with it many responsibilities..……
Besides the fear of inheriting the problem to his offspring, there lies the fear of facing dozens of interviews while admitting his child to a school. And if his child fails to get admitted to a good school just because of his/her parent’s speech problem, nothing in the world will make the parent repent more.
Besides, there is a high chance that the spouse and in-laws does not remain patient and cooperative enough and becomes disgusted and irritated with the stutterer and withdraw their support from him.
It is better to remain single than to have a failed marriage.
